OVERVIEW
I joined the CaixaBank Payments & Consumer team to improve and future-proof their financial products through better UX.
My main mission was twofold:
🧠 Make real improvements to the app experience for existing customers.
🌟 Help the company pitch and shape new service models through impactful proposals.
APP EXPERIENCE
My work at CaixaBank Payments & Consumer focused on enhancing the usability, accessibility, and overall customer experience of the app. I collaborated closely with product owners, developers, and accessibility experts to identify friction points and optimize key user journeys, especially those related to contracting financial products, digital payments and boosting consumer activity.
I followed an iterative, user-centered design process:
🕵🏽♀️ Conducted user research and persona development to uncover pain points.
📝 Created wireframes and interactive prototypes to explore and validate new flows.
💎 Led testing and iteration cycles to ensure improvements were meaningful and inclusive.
This approach helped streamline critical journeys and made digital banking experiences more intuitive, accessible, and aligned with user needs.
RFOs / RFPs
One of the most exciting aspects of my role was leading the design of RFOs (Request for Offers) and RFPs (Request for Proposals), strategic pitch decks that showcased new digital services, partnerships or internal product opportunities.
I collaborated with cross-functional teams from innovation to business strategy, to understand client goals and co-create tailored solutions, whether for embedded finance, white-labeled payment tools or B2B services.
Some of the most impactful proposals I worked on included:
“Ahorra el Cambio”, an internal savings feature to round up and save spare change.
“Pay Now”, enhancing instant payment experiences within the app.
Single-use card UX, improving secure payment flows for temporary cards.
RFPs for external partners like Mercadona, Gold Car (Renfe) and even Tesla loan products.
I was responsible for:
💡 Structuring the proposal narrative.
🎨 Designing custom UI concepts and interaction mockups.
💎 Crafting visually engaging storylines to win over both internal and external stakeholders.
This work was fast-paced, strategic and highly collaborative, the perfect balance between design thinking and storytelling, with a direct impact on innovation and business development.

Facilitating this alignment was critical to delivering proposals that were not only user-centered but also feasible and aligned with business objectives.
